JOB PURPOSE

This position plays a multi-faceted role for Outbound Logistics. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to oversee and closely monitor the inventory levels of the company and perform the inventory reconciliation process. This position requires active monitoring and reporting of inventory in order to maintain optimal efficiency at the warehouse level and SAP. Analytical reporting on inventory data will be the key. This position may also support the administrative process of scheduling and shipping of goods domestically to our distributors and customers. This position operates independently, with minimal general supervision, and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works extensively with data, analyzing and interpreting inventory levels at all warehouses, providing analytical insight into warehouse capacities and balance distribution of goods.
• Experience with reconciling inventory with system and warehouses.
• Proactively perform accurate and timely daily, monthly, and annual inventory reconciliation in SAP.
• Work with accounting and third-party warehouses to reconcile and clear inventory variances. o Developing inventory analysis reports and analyzing variances
• Work directly with Logistics Supervisor to research and resolve inventory discrepancies on carrier and warehouse issues.
• Resolve issues with sense of urgency with warehouse management systems and look for ways to improve operational efficiencies.
• Situational resolution of order issues and discrepancies with warehouses & sales. o Ability to prepare correspondences and SWI (desktop procedure).
• Respond to all e-mail correspondences and requests within a 24-hour period. Respond to urgent emails within 2 hours.
• Warehouse – identify pattern and root cause, develop resolution process, implement, keep track of exception, monthly reporting to management, transaction to close in 30 days.
• Experience with managing inbound and outbound shipments.
• Analyze and negotiate rates with carriers (LTL and TL) based on current market prices for returns.
• Communicate directly with warehouses and carriers as needed to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• All other duties as assigned from time to time.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics or related program required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of job-related experience normally required. 
• High-level of competence in current versions of Microsoft Excel. Previous exposure to other database, reporting, analysis and/or inventory reconciliation knowledge strongly desired.
• Effective, professional, and articulate communicator with strong preparation skills. Will interface with others, internally and externally, at all levels. Must represent company and department values in all communications.
• Advanced Technical Knowledge and working experience with SAP required.
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task, and use time effectively.
• Ability to communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, truckers and others.
• Consistent and reliable attendance Ability to work independently to solve issues, use good business judgment, takes initiative.
• Demonstrate attention to detail. Keep accurate and complete records.
