Our company is currently seeking employees to fill the position as HIRING OF STAFF FOR CONSULAR TEAM. The Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Bangkok is looking to hire a full-time Consular & Visa Officer / Assistant Consular & Visa Officer to work in the Consular team. For this position, your main duties and responsibilities would include the following:

  •        Assist the Admin & Consular Home-Based Staff (HBS) with consular work concerning Singaporeans and accompany HBS on external assignments (e.g. to police stations, hospitals, other provinces) where required. 
  •       Liaise with relevant Thai authorities on the status of consular cases involving Singaporeans.
  •       Attend to enquiries on consular issues and visa applications from the public. 
  •       Perform notarial services for members of the public on behalf of the Embassy.
  •       Perform interpretation and translation of documents from Thai to English and vice-versa, as well as during meetings with Thai authorities.
  •       Monitor the Thai media for relevant reports.
  •       Conduct research and contact relevant authorities onThai rules and regulations related to visa formalities, official registration requirements, etc.
  •       Prepare revenue collection, statements of expenditure and other data collation reports related to the Embassy’s consular functions on a daily/monthly basis.
  •       Remain contactable after office hours for emergency cases. 

          To fulfil the above job responsibilities, you would need to possess the following qualities:

  •       Excellent command of written and spoken English and Thai
  •       Finesse in handling and managing members of the public in person and over the phone
  •       Ability to work well under pressure and possess a positive attitude
  •       Ability to work after office hours and on weekends, where necessary
  •       Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  •       Confident and possess good communication skills
  •       Bachelor’s degree (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
